Quote from -xdream- :I really hate those 'after-race-party-crashers'! After a race I'm going to put my hands away from the wheel to roll a cigarette. And everytime any of those party-racers crash into my car, the wheel is spinning around like hell. This can badly DAMAGE the wheel!!!

not its not, theyre desugned to take that sort of punishment. Its beter for them than if you were holding onto the wheel, resisting the movement, such as during the odd unavoidable collision and even hard conering/correcting.

Quote from Darkone55 :Hi there,

Here are my two latest updates of the reflection textures. Please read the readme.txt (in the zips) carefully! They both have textures of 512*512 (which is twice the original size).

The first version (reflecttex_darkonev3_1.zip) contains textures that are supposed to be close to real. So they have clouds on it and everything.
The second version (reflecttex_darkonev3_2.zip) contains textures that are supposed to look nice. Not too busy, the colors less real but nicer..

Both versions cover all tracks, so, on all tracks you will have higher res reflections. Oh, and the zip differ in size a bit, but the size of all the textures are the same.

Enjoy them!

What setting did you use to shoot the screen shots, they look unreal!

Quote from vane :so being 14 years old makes you not understand anything? dont bother, learn the hard way of how to shift. you dont need help if the engine sounds like it is going to explode, its time to shift.

doesnt lfs have a shift light, that seems to work for me.

cant see how you would be able to do heel toe though, not really possible with out 3 pedals or just a button on the steering wheel acting as a clutch, but thats lame.

with logitech driving force pro you can do that i think with the profiler.

The best thing to do is to buy another pedal for like $10 off ebay.

I used to play online with my P3 1ghz, no graphics card and only 256 ram. Never got better than 20 fps though and averaged about 12-15.

N0w i get about 50-60 or about 30-40 with a full grid online with 1.8ghz dore2duo, 1gb ram and no graphics card (its in the mail!)

Quote from riskredruM :Ok...two last question.
You both are using the last version? Downloaded from LFS-Database or masterblasters website. Cause that problem was in an earlier Version too.
Are you running Vista or XP?

Well im using the version posted in the first post of this thread, i dl's it about a month ago i think.

Yeah XP user. My system might be the cause of the lagging maybe... it is a core2duo though, i need a graphics card. Should be getting one today.

ok yeah thats the kind of answer i was looking for. I wonder if we'll ever be able to mod it to that extent?

Of course but you m,iss my point. Wouldnt it be good if us, the user, like some dedicated souls have already begun doind, could add this level of detail to lfs.

Whats stopping these people making the in car view as good as the one in link for example?
Can someone tell me if this is possible.

These screen shots. What makes them so good? Is it just a matter of redrawing everything in higher res, or is there more to it. What stops this sort of detail and graphics being present in lfs?

Thanks.

racing is not all driving, car setup plays a big part.

What cars do you race in real life?

If anything, I would want to tweaks possible.

they have moster truck races and yes they are insane. I would vote for it, but only after about 1,000,000 other improvments are made.
